Eric serves as Vice President of Business Development for the North American Commercial Organization at Dentsply Sirona. He has worked for 20+ years in the healthcare services industry. During the past decade, he has had full P&L responsibility for a very a successful $100 million national multi-product healthcare provider and has assisted in building a top tier platform Urology provider, including the completion of multiple strategic acquisitions across the US. Eric is also a pilot, and organized flew missions with his son, who is a First Officer for a major regional airline, to Mayfield Kentucky in December of 2021. From that point on, he envisioned a non-profit who would deliver supplies within hours of natural disasters to impacted communities. Hope on Short Final is a not-for-profit endeavor to airlift supplies to communities impacted by natural disasters within hours. We organize volunteers to expeditiously deliver supplies to communities throughout the US.
Amy is a native Virginian and has worked in the accounting industry for over twenty-five years. Most of her accounting experience is in corporate accounting; however, she has been working in the non-profit sector for the past eight years. Currently Amy is an accountant with a climate awareness global non-profit and is enjoying working with other peers from differing cultures and backgrounds. She holds a master’s degree in accounting and is currently a Doctoral Candidate in the Accounting field of study; hoping to start her dissertation project in the Fall of 2022 and graduate in the Winter of 2023. “I am very excited to sit on the Hope on Short Final board and support my brother and others involved in Hope on Short Final, which will be fulfilling a need for supplies in natural-disaster stricken areas”.
Laura currently resides in Waxhaw, North Carolina and has successfully held positions within healthcare focused on leadership and sales for the past 20 years. She is currently a Senior Account Executive with Gartner, supporting healthcare executives with actionable and objective insights as they work to achieve their most critical priorities. Her time spent within healthcare is fueled by passion to lead, elevating people to be their best, and improving the lives of those clients and patients she has the privilege to know. Laura’s father is a retired US Marine and her mother continues to make an impact within the healthcare space with over 40 years in the industry. Growing up, Laura’s parents taught her that despite the adversity around us, the world really is a beautiful place, especially when people serve above and beyond their own needs. Laura is a graduate of Longwood University, Virginia.
Emily Herron is the Airport Manager at Madisonville Regional Airport in Madisonville, KY. She was raised around aviation and is a 3rd generation pilot and aircraft owner. She grew up flying her family’s Piper J-3 Cub (which they have owned for 73 years now), and as she became an adult her love for aviation only grew. She has experience in disaster relief efforts from the public-use airport perspective after a devastating tornado ripped through her community in western KY in December 2021. She helped coordinate efforts with volunteer pilots who wanted to fly in supplies from the region and even as far away as Atlanta, Georgia.
Jack is an accomplished Sales, Marketing and Operations executive with significant General Management experience. His foundation in Sales & Marketing was gained with roles of increasing responsibility in both Procter & Gamble and The Coca-Cola Company. Jack was the former Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing for Owens & Minor, the nation’s leading distributor of medical/surgical supplies and logistics to large healthcare systems. He deepened his healthcare leadership experience as Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing for Omnicare, leading distributor of pharmaceuticals to long term care. Jack served as Chief Revenue & Operations Officer for NovaMed, a leading owner of ambulatory surgery centers. He was also a division President of Matria Healthcare. Jack is a graduate of Grove City College, the Covey Leadership Center and executive leadership programs at the University of Virginia’s Darden School. He also served as an officer in the United States Air Force.
John Coleman is a human resources executive specializing in talent development, performance management and organizational effectiveness. He has 20 years of experience in the field and has held human resources leadership roles in healthcare, biotechnology, and engineering services. Currently, John is the human resources leader for Blue Ridge Beverage Company, Inc., one of the largest distributors of beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages in the state of Virginia.
He is a graduate of Radford University and holds an MBA from Averett University. John resides in Salem, Virginia, with his wife Joanna and has two daughters.
